  1. RESEARCH AND CONSULTANCY OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitating research activities: The Research and Consultancy Officer is responsible for providing guidance and support to faculty members and students in conducting research activities. This may include helping with research proposals, identifying funding sources, and assisting with data collection and analysis

  • Developing research policies: The Research and Consultancy Officer is responsible for developing policies and procedures that govern research activities within the college. This may include developing ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting best practices in research.

  • Managing research grants: The officer is responsible for managing research grants awarded to the college. This may include monitoring grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with grants requirements, and preparing reports for grants funders.

  • Providing consultancy services: Provide consultancy services to external clients. This may include providing expert advice, conducting research study or developing training programs for clients.

  • Collaborating with other institutions: The Research and Consultancy Officer may collaborate with other institutions to promote research and consultancy activities. This may include developing partnership with other colleges, universities or research organizations.

  • Promoting research activities: It is a higher task to promote research activities withing the college. This includes organizing seminars, conferences, and workshop to showcase research activities and disseminate research findings.

  • Managing research database: The research and Consultancy Officer is responsible for managing research database and ensuring that they are up to date and accurate. This may include developing and maintaining a database of research publications and projects.

  • Providing training and support: The Research and Consultancy Officer may provide training and support to faculty members and students in research methods and techniques. This may include proving workshops or training sessions on research design, data collection and analysis.

 


 

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: A minimum of a master’s degree in a health-related field such as a public health, epidemiology, health policy or a related field is required with a minimum GPA of 3.5

  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in research and consultancy in the health sector is desirable. Also, should have published at least one research internationally, be involved in at least 3 researches, have an understanding of quantitative and qualitative research and biostatistics.

  • Research skills: Demonstrated ability to design and conduct research studies, analyze data and produce high-quality research reports.

  • Consultancy skills: Demonstrated ability to provide technical assistance and consultancy services to clients in the health sector.

  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili including the ability to write clear and concise report.

  • Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, R and NVivo

  • Project management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadline.


 

  1. TUTOR FOR COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, facilitate and deliver competency-based teaching in classroom and clinical areas using different teaching methods as per curriculum requirements

  • Prepare and submit course materials such as course outline (CBLA), assessment plan, handouts and assessment (Continuous Assessments and semester examinations) to the Head of the Department

  • Supervise students in fieldwork.

  • Evaluate and grade students’ class work, fieldwork, assignments, and papers.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and academic issues.

  • Advise students on academic and career issues.

  • Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.

  • Communicate student’s progress to course coordinators

  • Maintain required documentation of tutoring sessions

  • Participate in academic or administrative committees and school activities/events as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Holder of a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology or any related field

  • Also, should be a Holder of Degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5 in any related field. The applicant should have the above specialization in their degree and not just a university course/module of Counseling or Psychology.

  • Relevant working experience in the field of Counseling or Psychology.

  • Experience in teaching at College or University level is desirable.


 

    1. TUTOR FOR PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, facilitate and deliver competency-based teaching in classroom and clinical areas using different teaching methods as per curriculum requirements

  • Prepare and submit course materials such as course outline (CBLA), assessment plan, handouts and assessment (Continuous Assessment and Semester Examinations) to the Head of Department

  • Supervise students in fieldwork.

  • Evaluate and grade students’ class work, fieldwork, practical, assignments, and papers.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and academic issues.

  • Advise students on academic and career issues.

  • Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Holder of Bachelor Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences with at least GPA of 3.5. The applicant should have the above specialization in their degree and not just a university course of Pharmaceutical Sciences

  • Minimum two years of relevant working experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

  • Experience in teaching at College or University level is desirable


 


 

    1. TUTOR FOR NURSING AND MIDWIFERY

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Qualification Holder degree of Nursing and Midwifery with at least GPA of 3.5 or above out of 5.

  • Certification from Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council and or Zanzibar Nursing and Midwifery Council.

  • Minimum one year of relevant working experience in the field of Nursing and Midwifery activities.

  • Experience in teaching at College or University are desirable.


 

    1. TUTOR FOR OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT

Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions in Occupational Health and Safety Management courses.

  • Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment tools, in line with industry standards.

  • Facilitate interactive and engaging classroom discussions to promote a comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety concepts.

  • Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and other evaluation methods, providing timely and constructive feedback.

  • Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development, encouraging their participation in research and community engagement activities.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in occupational health and safety regulations and practices, integrating this knowledge into teaching.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum and instructional methods, ensuring the program remains relevant and aligned with industry needs.

  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and other school-related events as required.

  • Contribute to the school's research initiatives and engage in scholarly activities, including publishing research findings in reputable journals

Minimum Qualification and Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management or a related field. A Master's degree will be an advantage.

  • Proven experience in teaching Occupational Health and Safety Management courses at the tertiary level. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Knowledge of current occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.


 

    1. TUTOR FOR INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate hands-on lab sessions to help students develop practical ICT skills.

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and collaboration.

  • Develop and adapt teaching materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and assessments, to suit the needs of diverse learners.

  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to enhance their learning experience and progress.

  • Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in the ICT field to ensure the curriculum remains relevant.

  • Foster a passion for innovation and critical thinking among students, encouraging them to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in various ICT disciplines, including programming, networking, cybersecurity, and database management.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of current industry trends and technologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students.

  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design would be an asset.
